Boosting Your Internet Speed

Steps on boosting your internet speed by releasing XP Reserved Bandwidth. Windows reserves 20% network bandwidth. You can release this by following these steps:
  1. Go to run and type gpedit.msc .

  2. Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative templates > Network.

  3. Open QoS Packet Scheduler.

  4. Double click Limit Reservable Bandwidth.

  5. Not cofigured would be chosen. However by default the value is 20%.

  6. Select enable and make the value 0.

  7. This should boost your net speed considerably.
